Suzanne Weg-Remers

Susanne Weg-Remers is head of the Cancer Information Service at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. She holds an MD PhD degree and a Master degree in Public Administration.

After graduation, she has worked in both clinical and basic cancer research and science management. As of 2012, Susanne Weg-Remers has taken on the lead of the Cancer Information Service. This unit was founded in 1986 to provide evidence-based, quality-secured information to cancer patients, their relatives and the general public. As a National Reference Center for Cancer Information in Germany, the German Cancer Information service has recently opened up its information sources also to health professionals.
